On the occasion of Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye’s official visit to Kigali, Senegal and Rwanda signed several cooperation agreements aimed at strengthening and expanding their bilateral relations.
These legal instruments are intended to deepen collaboration across various strategic sectors.
Among the documents signed are an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, service, and ordinary passports; a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the planning and monitoring of development programs; and partnerships in the fields of agriculture and health.
The two countries also concluded an agreement on collaboration in correctional services and prison management.
"Rwanda and Senegal are guided by the same values: putting human beings first, achieving tangible results, and pursuing a bold and transformative vision. We also share the vision of a united and self-reliant continent, built on responsible governance and inclusive development,” declared President Paul Kagame.
