The 36th edition of the International Tour of Faso will take place from October 24 to November 2, 2025, covering a total distance of 1,177.6 km over ten stages.

This year’s edition of the Tour will run across nine regions of Burkina Faso, offering a challenging route that will test riders’ endurance and team strategy. The cyclists will set off from Ouagadougou for a race that promises both competition and celebration of African cycling.

Ahead of the event, the National Organizing Committee (CNO) was officially established on August 26, 2025, in Ouagadougou. The committee is made up of twelve specialized commissions covering key areas such as logistics, health, accommodation, administration, and communication.

The 2025 edition aims to be a showcase of strength and resilience for Burkina Faso, with the national team — Les Étalons Cyclistes — determined to reclaim the coveted yellow jersey, last won by Moroccan rider Mohcine El Kouraji in 2024. Despite its controversial removal from the UCI calendar due to an incident involving Russian participation in 2024, the Tour du Faso retains its continental prestige and continues to attract teams from across Africa and Europe.
