Ghizlane Chebbak remains at the top of the scorers' chart following the quarter-finals of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The captain of the Moroccan national team has scored 4 goals, even though she didn’t find the net in the win over Mali. The early exits of Nguenar Ndiaye (Senegal) and the Zambian duo Banda-Kundananji have reduced the direct competition.
The race for the Golden Boot remains tight, however. Ibtissam Jraidi (Morocco) and Chinwendu Ihezuo (Nigeria), each with 3 goals and still in the competition, could shake up the rankings in the semi-finals.
With both Morocco and Nigeria still in contention, it is their forwards who seem best positioned to claim the tournament’s top scorer title.
