The Atlas Lions maintain their 12th place globally and remain Africa’s top team in the latest FIFA Men’s World Ranking, published Thursday by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

With two friendly wins against Tunisia (2-0) on June 6 and Benin (1-0) on June 9, Morocco gained 4.48 points to finish the July ranking with 1698.72 points. However, they were unable to overtake Croatia, who climbed to 10th place after two big wins (7-0 against Gibraltar and 5-0 against the Czech Republic), while Italy dropped two spots to 11th.

On the African continent, the Atlas Lions lead Senegal, which moved up one place to 18th worldwide with 1635.1 points. Egypt remains third in Africa but fell two places to 32nd globally.

The top five positions remain unchanged, with Argentina leading the way, followed by Spain, France, England, and Brazil.

Portugal moved up to 6th place ( 1), while the Netherlands dropped one spot to finish 7th. Belgium held steady in 8th, while Germany climbed to 9th, and Croatia rounded out the top 10.
