The international footballer from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Noah Sadiki, formerly of Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium, has signed a five-year contract with Sunderland AFC, a club in the English Premier League.

"Union Saint-Gilloise and Sunderland reached an agreement on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano and confirmed by L’Équipe, involving a transfer deal worth €20 million, including bonuses (€17M €3M in add-ons)," reports FAAPA.

After successfully completing his medical, the Congolese midfielder has committed to the newly promoted English top-flight club until 2030.

Trained at Belgium’s Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht, the young Congolese international takes a major step forward in his career with this move to Sunderland, who will compete in the English Premier League next season. With this transfer, Noah Sadiki will join his compatriot and national team senior, Yoane Wissa, in the English league.

Former captain of the U-20 Leopards, Noah Sadiki made his debut with the senior national team on September 6, 2024, at the Stade des Martyrs, during the first qualifying match for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations against Guinea’s Syli National.

Sadiki began his professional career in the youth teams of RSC Anderlecht in Belgium and made his first-team debut on May 22, 2022. He later moved to Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023 before joining the DRC senior national football team in 2024.
