Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie is joining Brighton in the English Women’s Super League after a stellar career at Paris FC and major recognition across the continent.
At 24 years old, Nnadozie arrives in England with an impressive track record: two-time CAF Goalkeeper of the Year (2023, 2024), Best Goalkeeper of the Season in France (D1 Arkema 2023–2024)—a personal first—and heroine of the 2025 French Cup final with two penalty saves.
She also won multiple national titles with Rivers Angels in Nigeria and was named Africa’s Best Goalkeeper by the IFFHS in 2019.
With over 55 caps for the Super Falcons, Nnadozie made her mark during the 2023 Women’s World Cup and is set to play a key role in the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where she’ll be one of Nigeria’s standout players.
Brighton, who play at the highest level of English women’s football, are counting on the Nigerian’s experience and consistency to strengthen their squad under the guidance of head coach Dario Vidosic.
The coach said he is “convinced she will bring depth and confidence to the team.”
For Nnadozie, the move is “a dream come true” and a chance to prove herself in one of the world’s most competitive leagues.
Chiamaka will officially join Albion on July 1, upon the expiration of her contract with Paris FC.
