The Gabonese Ministry of the Interior has announced that tourist visas will be free of charge for travelers wishing to visit Gabon between July and September 2025.
The decision applies to all visa applications submitted between July 1 and September 30, 2025, according to a statement from the ministry.
Visas will be issued in under 48 hours through an electronic platform on the e-services web portal, managed by the Directorate General of Documentation and Immigration (DGDI).
With this initiative, Libreville aims to boost tourism, a sector in which the country holds significant untapped natural potential.
Last year, the Ministry of Sustainable Tourism and Handicrafts launched the Gabon Tourism Caravan, involving tour operators, local authorities, and both foreign and domestic tourists to promote the country’s many lesser-known tourist sites.
The second edition of the caravan is scheduled to take place this year from July 15 to September 15, 2025.
