The Burkinabé Ministry of Security has launched the "Alerte-BCLCC" platform through the Central Brigade for the Fight Against Cybercrime (BCLCC).

"Alerte-BCLCC" is accessible at alerte.bclcc.gov.bf and can be downloaded on smartphones and tablets via the Play Store (Android) and AppGallery (Huawei).

The new platform now allows every Burkinabé citizen to report cybercrime incidents securely and confidentially. This could help curb, for instance, online content promoting terrorism, from any location within the national territory.

"With this tool, our specialized forces should be able to intervene more quickly, better analyze trends, and strengthen actions to effectively combat these new forms of cybercrime," said Minister of Security Mahamadou Sana, urging Burkinabé citizens to embrace the platform.

This initiative aligns with the government's commitment to strengthening national cybersecurity. It comes amid an accelerated digital transformation, characterized by the rapid adoption of electronic communication services and a surge in cyberattacks.

The platform ensures user data confidentiality, offering the ability to report incidents anonymously and securely. With just a few clicks, users can now transmit essential information to the BCLCC, enabling swift and targeted interventions.

This innovative system embodies Burkina Faso's determination to protect its citizens in the digital space and adapt to evolving security challenges.
