In five days of intense creation, Ivorian artist Mylène Amon completed 130 portraits in 120 hours, shattering the previous Guinness record and hoping to make history.
Ivorian artist Mylène Françoise Amon achieved the remarkable feat of creating 130 portraits in just 120 hours, aiming to have her name recorded in the Guinness World Records, as reported by the local media Abidjan.net.
This event took place from February 5 to 10, 2025, at the BAE stadium in Yopougon, the largest municipality in the Abidjan district, capturing the attention of the public and media across the country.
Mylène Françoise Amon set out to surpass the previous record of 100 portraits using Papy-art, a paper-based optical illusion technique. Initially aiming to complete 150 pieces, she faced challenging weather conditions that slowed her pace and limited her progress within the allotted time. Thanks to an extension granted, she persevered with determination to reach her goal.
This initiative goes beyond artistic performance, as all proceeds from the sale of the portraits will be donated to support children battling cancer, in partnership with the country’s Ministry of Health.
