The Royal Cabinet announced in a statement that the Sovereign received, this Friday, December 20, at the Royal Palace in Casablanca, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani. Below is the full text of the statement.
"His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, received today at the Royal Palace in Casablanca His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
This meeting reflects the strong relations of trust and cooperation between the two countries, as well as the sincere bonds of brotherhood uniting the two fraternal peoples.

During this meeting, the two Heads of State expressed their satisfaction with the positive development of the Moroccan-Mauritanian partnership in various fields.
They also affirmed their determination to develop strategic projects to strengthen ties between the two neighboring countries and to coordinate their efforts within the framework of Royal Initiatives in Africa, particularly the African-Atlantic gas pipeline and the initiative aimed at enhancing the access of Sahel States to the Atlantic Ocean."
