The launch of the Agadir-Dakar commercial maritime line is officially acted upon. This project was acted on Wednesday in Agadir, marking a significant step in the implementation of the Atlantic Royal Vision.
Under the agreement signed by Karim Achengli, President of the Souss-Massa Regional Council, and Gregory Darling, President of the company “Atlas Marine,” responsible for carrying out the project, this new maritime connection aims to optimize goods transport and address logistical challenges associated with land routes.
The route seeks to facilitate trade flows between Morocco and West African countries by reducing transport costs and enhancing the efficiency of goods and truck transport. This ambitious project is set to strengthen commercial exchanges and open new investment opportunities between the two regions.
“The establishment of the Agadir-Dakar commercial maritime line aligns with the Royal Vision, which places great emphasis on strengthening African cooperation,” stated Karim Achengli. He added that this direct link between Agadir and Dakar would unlock new opportunities for importers and exporters, while fostering intra-African trade.
Driss Boutti, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) Souss-Massa, emphasized that the launch of the Agadir-Dakar maritime line is part of efforts to strengthen cooperative and fruitful partnerships between Morocco and African countries. He also announced plans to open additional maritime routes from the Souss capital to other African destinations in the near future.
