In his message, the Sovereign extends to Donald Trump his heartfelt congratulations on his election for a new term as President of the United States of America, along with his best wishes for success in his high duties and efforts in the service of the American people.
HM King Mohammed VI emphasizes that Trump’s resounding victory in these elections is a testament to his patriotism and a reaffirmation of his ongoing commitment to defending the supreme interests of the United States, “our long-standing friend and ally.”
The Sovereign also affirms that the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America are bound by a historic alliance and a strategic partnership that has stood the test of time, adding that “the values we share and our common interests across a wide range of sectors have allowed us to constantly work together to build a better future for our peoples, making our relationship a driving force for peace, security, and prosperity in the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.”
HM the King recalls that during Trump’s previous term, bilateral relations reached an unprecedented level when the United States recognized the full and entire sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over all of its Sahara. He adds that this memorable act, for which the Moroccan people will forever be grateful, marked a milestone and turning point, reflecting the true depth of “our special, longstanding relationship, paving the way for even greater cooperation and a broader strategic partnership.”
