The Rwandan economy recorded a growth rate of 8.9% in 2024, up from 8.2% in 2023, according to the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR). This performance was driven by the services, industry, and agriculture sectors.
Services remain the engine of the economy, accounting for 48% of GDP, followed by agriculture (25%) and industry (21%).
In terms of sectoral growth, both industry and services grew by 10%, while agriculture recorded a 5% increase.
