Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will co-host the tournament's eighth edition from February 1 to 28, 2025. As host nations, they are automatically qualified.
Morocco, the sole representative from North Africa, aims for a third title following their triumphs in 2018 and 2020.
In Central Africa, the Central African Republic caused an upset by eliminating Cameroon through the away goals rule. Meanwhile, the DR Congo Leopards return to the competition after a convincing win against Chad, reaffirming their reputation as a seasoned team, according to Africatopsports.
Defending champions Senegal secured their spot by dominating Liberia. Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and other CHAN regulars such as Niger and Guinea complete the list of qualifiers. The draw is scheduled for January 15 in Nairobi.
